NFSSE Summer Enrichment Programs

The fun doesn’t have to stop just because the school year does with NFSSE’s Summer Enrichment Adventures! Sign up for a week, or sign up for the whole Summer. Therapeutic Riding, Activities Enrichment Programs and Half Day Speciality Enrichment Programs are sure to keep your students entertained this summer! Registration is now open on MySchoolBucks.

Activities Enrichment Program- Opening Doors to Adventure!

  • Available all 6 weeks for each grade band (Elementary, Intermediate, Secondary, Transition/Postgrads)
  • Get ready for exciting activities, including karate, yoga, culinary arts, sports & recreation, and so much more!

Half-Day Specialty Enrichment Program

  • Available all 6 weeks
  • 2-Half Day programs available for mornings and/or afternoons
  • Programs are grouped by Elementary/Intermediate & Secondary/Transition/Postgrad
  • You can sign up for one or you can sign up for both!
  • Supervision will be provided from 12-1 during lunch for those who sign up for morning and afternoon. Please send in a packed lunch.

Student Information and Requirements

  • Six years older and up
  • Independent toilet skills
  • Function in a 1:6 ratio
  • Functional way to communicate wants/needs

Daily Schedule

Morning Care: 7:45-8:45 am 

Activities Enrichment Program (Full Day)  

  • Arrival 8:45-9:00 am 
  • Dismissal 2:45-3:00 pm  

Morning Specialties (Half-Day) 

  • Arrival 8:45-9:00 am 
  • Dismissal 11:45-12:00 pm 

Afternoon Specialties (Half-Day)  

  • Arrival: 11:45-12 pm  
  • Dismissal 3:45 – 4:00 pm  

*Supervision will be provided from 12-1 if your student is signed up for morning and afternoon specialties  

Extended Day: 3:00-6:00 pm  

  • Available for full-day and half-day programs

Summer Enrichment Program Fees

Activities Enrichment Program

  • NFSSE Students (enrolled and incoming): $300/week
  • NFSSE Siblings: $250/week
  • Community Students: $350/week
  • Morning Care $25/week
  • Extended Day $75/week

Half Day Specialty Enrichment Program

  • $175 per specialty/week

 

Summer Enrichment Program Volunteers

Are you interested in volunteering for our Summer Enrichment programs this summer? We require a weekly commitment and a half-day orientation (date to be determined).

We are currently seeking volunteers who are 14 years and older to assist us with our summer programs, primarily our horse and biking programs. Volunteer responsibilities may vary, so we ask that you be flexible.

Summer Enrichment FAQ

Is there transportation for summer enrichments?

Transportation will not be provided.

Will there be an option to order lunch?

Lunch will not be provided. Students will need to bring in lunch every day.

Is camp refundable?

Registration deposits (that go towards the total cost) are non-refundable. Other requests will be reviewed by administration and the Business Office.

Can my student stay all day if they want to do the specialty enrichment program?

Yes, sign your student up for Morning Specialty and Afternoon Specialty enrichment programs for your student to stay all day.

How to Create a MySchoolBucks Account:

Step 1: Go to www.myschoolbucks.com
Step 2: Select “Sign Up for Free” on the homepage
Step 3: Select Florida
Step 4: In the “Select District” drop-down, choose North Florida School of Special Education – Do NOT select Duval County Public Schools
Step 5: Create a Password and enter security questions
Step 6: Add your student to your account by selecting what program they are in (Lower School* or Upper School**), filling in their name, and using their birthday to verify. You will not need to know their student number.
