Quartet Opens Up Students Hearts and Minds to Music

This week, the talented musicians from Jacksonville’s Florida Chamber Music Project held a music workshop with their strings quartet for our secondary students.

The unique music experience was with a FCMP program called Compose Yourself in which snippets of music represented in different feelings.

At the end of their demonstration, the musicians invited students to create their own compositions by simply choosing three. For example, one student chose angry, lonely, and scared. The result was a variety of beautiful music played by FCMP’s violinists and cello player.
